Julie Cranick

Julie Cranick, Energy Zone Owner, best describes herself as a fitness enthusiast on a mission to make fitness fun! Anyone that knows her would agree her energetic vibe and determined demeanor is contagious. According to Julie there is nothing more exhilarating and rewarding than lacing up her sneakers and leading Group Fitness classes. She truly believes exercise and a balanced diet is the key to living well. She holds a multitude of Group Fitness Certifications: AFFA Primary Group Fitness, Step, Jump Sport, Barre, Les Mills Body Flow, Insanity Live, PiYo Live. Her secret to success is ENERGY! She firmly believes when we are lit up on the inside we can light up the world on the outside!

Greg Clancy

Greg is an Elite Personal Trainer/ Health and Wellness Coach at Energy Zone Fitness. He is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a multitude of certifications specializing in the following disciplines: strength/conditioning training, fat loss, core-focus/functional movement, isometric/dynamic stretching, and FMS assessments. His hallmark in the world of fitness is coaching clients through life changing transformations. His motto is “We get what we can tolerate. You have to raise your standards to change your life. Change your should’s into musts. Your biggest challenges can turn into something extraordinary.” Greg’s calm, cool and collective demeanor truly makes fitness FUN! His Fitness Magic can be described as EXHILARATING!

Toni Dworak

Instructor

Toni graduated from Quinnipiac University, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Finance. By day she works from home as an Analyst but her true passion is fitness and wellness. It all began at the age of 12 when she would workout with her mother.  Now, with two daughters of her own, Toni has taken her drive for fitness to the next level by helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.  Toni holds Jump Sport and Les Mills  BodyFlow certifications.   

Beth Gagliardi

Instructor

Beth Gagliardi, a certified trampoline instructor, also holds certifications in Les Mills Bodypump, Body Combat, and RPM. Bounce, in particular, is a newfound passion, as it fulfills her physically and mentally. She says, “After dealing with a knee injury I could no longer do the aerobic workouts that I loved so much. It was so frustrating to have to modify my workouts and sacrifice the endorphin rush that I get from exercising. Bounce is the first workout that has done that for me, without impacting my joints.” Her group exercise philosophy is that class is a metaphor for life, “Life begins at the edge of your comfort zone. Everything in life worth working for is hard.”

Beth is also a 6th grade language arts teacher. In her spare time, She likes to spend time with her family, read, and boat…and of course spend time at EnergyZone.

 

Tara Bartley

Instructor

Fitness has always been apart of my entire life. I started dancing when I was two and did competitive cheerleading for 8 years. I started teaching group fitness a year ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I’m certified in Jump Sport, Barre, Les Mills Body Pump and Body Flow.

 

Kathy Tokarz

Kathy’s fitness level and age inspires everyone around her. She is a firm believer that getting up and moving will add productive years to your life. Her Certifications include: Les Mills CXWORKS, RMP, Body Pump, BodyFlow and Mad Dog spinning

 

Rick Daversa

Instructor

After joining Tri Town Sports Complex (NEAC) back in the late 80’s, Rick quickly became a fan of group fitness, strength training and overall health and nutrition. Soon after he was hired he became a Les Mills Body Pump and Spinning instructor.  10 years later his passion is stronger than ever; teaching and inspiring all who attend his classes motivates him to deliver Fitness Magic. Energy Zone Fitness and its culture inspired Rick to pursue his personal training license.

 

Dawn Dubai

Dawn Dubay is a full time School Readiness Coordinator for Middletown Public Schools and a mom of two.  She has a lifelong passion for fitness and Health/Wellness. Dawn holds a group fitness certification through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), as well as Beachbody’s Insanity Live, Jump Sport, Les Mills Body Pump and Body Flow. She views teaching fitness classes as one of the best, most rewarding parts of her day!

Energy Bounce

 

The newest and hottest fitness craze on the East Coast. This class is performed on individual Jump Sport Fitness trampolines that are equipped with handle bars for comfort and safety. Participants will experience an exhilarating, heart pumping HIT workout with 80% less impact on the joints.  Energy Bounce Interval, Circuit and Freestyle classes are all designed to boost your overall strength and endurance. The heart pumping music and choreography will have you hooked after just one class. Modifications are provided to ensure that everyone is successful!

 

Body Pump

 

Body Pump class will sculpt tone and strengthen your entire body, fast. Using THE REP EFFECT™, low weight loads and high reps, you will burn fat, gain strength and produce lean body muscle conditioning. BODYPUMP* is one of the world’s fastest ways to get in shape as it challenges all of your major muscle groups while you squat, press, lift and curl.

 

Step

 

Get ready for 45 mins of nonstop heart pumping cardio. This class is designed to make you dig deep and boost your overall cardiovascular endurance. Moves are performed on, off, over and around a step platform to give it an athletic feel. Your instructor will not disappoint when it comes to playing invigorating music and injecting a whole lot of personality to make your experience fun. This is not your traditional step class so get ready to, Step it up!

 

Barre

Barre classes at Virtuosa will tone, define and chisel the whole body. These classes are the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with an added cardiovascular element utilizing the barre. All of our Barre training focuses on proper biomechanics for a safe and well structured class that can be modified for any fitness level.

BODYFLOW™

 

is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

 

Motr

 

Motr from Balanced Body. MOTR is way MOre Than a Roller!  In this specialty class your trainer will deliver a 60-minute Pilates inspired full body workout with the challenge of three weight level resistances. You can expect to build strength, challenge balance, train on multiple planes and improve cardio condition and agility. Great ready to sculpt long lean muscles.

Your 60-minute workout will include:

Functional Training, Mind-body Agility, Strength Training, Balance, Cardio and More.

 

Kickboxing

 

Shred calories in Energy Zone’s newest signature Small Group Training class using H20 Heavy Bags that will strengthen and tone your arms, back, core, stamina and your confidence. This high-intensity interval training workout sculpts your body and burns calories like nothing you’ve experienced before. Your trainer will lead you through explosive boxing rounds where you will deliver jab, cross, hook, and uppercut combinations, working your entire body with our 90-pound H20 Heavy Bags.

60-minute workout will consist of:

15-minutes of cardio and body weight exercises + Eight 3-Minute Rounds on the Heavy Bag Work + 15-Minutes of Ab Exercises

 

Boot Camp

 

EZ’s BootCamp utilizes the principle of muscle confusion. Our Bootcamp is designed for MAXIUM calorie burn. You will never do the same workout twice. Why is this good? Because…… your body will never adapt and you will never plateau.    

Your 60-minute workout will include:

A combination of cardio, strength, muscle endurance, functional movement patterns and core.
